Benefits of Our Products:
- Superior Precision & Consistency
High-precision steel molds ensure uniform thickness, texture, and logo detailing across every mitt, eliminating defects and maintaining product reliability.
- Enhanced Durability & Heat Resistance
Compression molding under high heat (300–350°F) and pressure fully cross-links platinum-cured silicone, creating a dense, non-porous structure resistant to tears and extreme temperatures (up to 450°F).
- Cost-Effective Scalability
Rapid cycle times (2–5 minutes per mitt) and minimal material waste streamline mass production, reducing per-unit costs for bulk OEM orders.
- Flexible Customization
Easily adaptable molds allow tailored designs, textures, and branded elements without expensive retooling, ideal for custom kitchen gadgets and private-label partnerships.
Production Process:
- Material Preparation
High-quality platinum-cured silicone (FDA/LFGB-compliant) is mixed with pigments or additives to achieve desired color and performance properties, ensuring heat resistance and flexibility.
- Mold Setup
Custom-designed steel or aluminum molds are precision-machined to replicate oven mitt shapes, textures, and brand-specific logos. Molds are preheated to optimize material flow and curing.
- Preform Cutting
Pre-measured silicone sheets or preforms are cut to match mold cavity volumes, minimizing waste and ensuring consistency.
- Compression Molding
Preforms are placed into the mold cavity. Under high pressure (15–20 MPa) and heat (300–350°F), the silicone liquefies, fills the mold, and begins curing.
- Curing & Vulcanization
The mold is held under heat and pressure for 2–5 minutes, allowing the platinum-cured silicone to fully cross-link, achieving optimal durability and heat resistance (up to 450°F).
- Demolding & Cooling
The solidified mitt is removed automatically or manually. Post-curing may occur to enhance mechanical properties before cooling to room temperature.
- Trimming & Deflashing
Excess material (flash) is removed using precision trimming tools or automated systems, ensuring smooth edges and a polished finish.
- Quality Inspection
Each mitt undergoes rigorous checks for defects, heat resistance, thickness consistency, and certification compliance (FDA, LFGB). Custom logos/designs are verified for accuracy.
- Packaging
Approved mitts are packaged in branded or OEM-specific boxes, sleeves, or bulk formats, ready for retail or wholesale distribution.
